Trident Gum & Walgreens

I saw this posted on Instagram and lemming my way over to Walgreens to do the deal.  Walgreens policy is to NOT adjust coupons down so YMMV if your store adjusts the final coupon down or not.  Had to go to 2 stores to use all my coupons since the coupon expires on Saturday.

Purchased 70 packs for Peppermint and Spearmint Trident Gum and paid 83cents plus tax.  Using the mint flavored gum to add to the teacher appreciation gift baskets.  Theme 'You were MINT to be my teacher."  So far I have 100 altoids and mint Trident gum.  Below are some of ideas I found on Pinterest

Clearance and Freebies

CVS Clearance:  The larger cooler on the top was $7.49 and the smaller coolers on the bottom were $4.99.  NOTHING is marked in the store. Just start scanning items and you will be surprised what you find.  Instagram is full of pictures of CVS scanned Clearance.

Walgreens:  Vitamin Water Energy is on sale for $1.50 and gives out $1.50 RR.  These items are rolling!!!  This means you can use your RR to pay for the next Vitamin Water Energy drink and a RR will still spit out of the catalina machine.  Pay Tax only

Food Lion Closeout:  Instagram once again hits it big with people posting FoodLion CloseOut pics.  Found the Lysol - in the black container only - toilet bowl cleaner on Close Out for 99cents.  Used $2/2 Lysol MQ from the Walgreens Cold and Flu Book.  Pay Tax Only

Walgreens / Almay Deal

Starting today Walgreen's has Almay products for B1G50%.  Today was the last day to use $4/1 Almay coupon.  Purchased 48 Almay eyeshadow for Bob's goddaughter drama class.

Cover Girl make up is on clearance giving HUGE MM
#mcquop in Instagram has her breakdown.  PAID 73 CENTS but did not calculate correctly so Rite Aid gave me a $4 Q back and that was after purchasing 2 dozen eggs, Hostess  cupcake for dinner, throwing on a bag of Skittles at the last second because of my excess overage.

In addition my cashier was "difficult".   She refused to scan any coupons telling me I could not use coupons on discounted items.  I asked for a manager who basically told her scan the coupons if they scanned with no issues great if not call him back over.  My cashier was fuming that I paid 73 cents for 6 mascaras, 2 lip products, 2 dozen eggs, Hostess cupcakes and Skittles.  I cleared the shelf of Cover Girl...which is easy to do with only 8 items on the shelf.

It was too good of deal to pass up so I stopped at 2 other Rite Aids but neither store was marking down Cover Girl so this is a YMMV.

Remember I front loaded RR so now I am building back up my Wags points aka my bank account.  I PAID $1.45 PLUS TAX and got another 5,000 points in my account for each transaction which included 4 Bounty packs.  I did 2 transactions as I had enough RR.  For these transactions I used RR from last week's Starbucks deal. I found more Starbucks coupons after SD was over.  Remember each single iced coffee cost me 3cents in tax yet yielded a $1RR.  Right now I am Luvin' my Bounty

Wags

Wags.  For the longest time I hated Wags.  Items were out of stock, the whole filler notion, Wags point system, RR...arghhhhh.  But one day I saw a video from Rob at CouponLikeAMan and the Wags lightbulb started going off.  Shortly there after I saw KaSandra72 on YouTube-remember this was before IG became hot - use Dollar General & Walgreen Catalinas during Harris TeetersSD.  Then the light bulb REALLY went off on how to manipulate Wags like a personal bank.  I use Wags as a my bank to roll between RR and Points and vice versa so that I would have cats during SD to use.

Now fast forward to today.  This is NOT a HTSD scenario but it is a perfect scenario to bounce between RR and points to get items at rock bottom prices.  This Wags scenario is all over IG- follow #emily_coupons and for Target & CVS Hauls #Jonesgirl2012 and for all sorts of deals follow #ikill4coupons

I encourage you to seek IG for breakdown and all the various deal scenarios.  It's complicated but ohhhhhhh so worth it :-)

Walgreens = Cha Ching at HTSD

I had (11) $1/1 Starbucks Iced Coffee MQs.  Eleven separate transactions.  Paid 3 cents for each iced coffee and got back $1.00 RR.  Now I plan on using those catalinas during SD so my cents will turn in to $22 in groceries at HTSD.

Another couponer was in there doing the same thing with Refresher drinks and also plans on using them HTSD lol

I got my paper and noticed Starbucks iced coffee is $1 starting tomorrow with $1 RR.  If you still have Starbucks coupons for HTSD-use them at Wags,  Get free Starbucks and then use your RR during HTSD....WHICH SHOULD DOUBLE :-).  Check with your HT store to make sure they will accept this MQ

Walgreen's Revlon ColorStay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow

Stocking up on make-up for a 16 year old goddaughter's birthday.  Found this deal on Revlon ColorStay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow. These are so cute.  You can  create your own pallet because they are interchangeable eye shadows that easily slide on the side to attach to other colors.  They easily snap together or come apart.  What fun for a 16 year old!!

Got 2 dozen eggs at Walgreens today.  They are on sale this week for 99cents a dozen.

Busy weekend

Walgreens:  Buy $10 Bayer Glucose Monitor get back $10,000 points.  There is a $10.00 Q out there making this a complete money maker.  There are also $5.00 coupons in the Wags Diabetes Books.  I went to one store and they would not allow the coupon, then I went to another store who took the coupon.  Spent $20 got back 80,000 points.  This deal will be harder do as the week goes on as more people find out about it.  I will keep trying. 

Giant: Stayfree pads are part of the Buy5 get 400 gas points.  There is a BOGO in the paper.  I went to Giant today (on my way to Harris Teeters Super Doubles) Paid $2.78 and got back 400 gas points.

I think I will be taking a purchasing break after this week.  Feeling Overloaded  :-)
